The company was founded on 1 September 1876<\/b> by Friedrich Arnold Eckhardt in Oldenburg on the “Inner Damm”, today’s Schlossplatz. The son Johannes Wilhelm Carl Eckhardt took over the company from his father on 2 April 1903<\/b> and increased the range and turnover.<\/p>\n On 30 May 1903<\/b>, the company was awarded the title of “Court Dye Works of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke”.<\/p>\n In 1941<\/b>, another generation change took place at the Textilreinigung ECKHARDT. The son Friedrich Nicolaus Eckhardt took over the business.<\/p>\n Later, in 1951<\/b>, Friedrich handed over the management of the company to his son Hartmut Peter Eckhardt.<\/p>\n Under the direction of Hartmut Peter Eckhardt, the company headquarters were moved to Bloherfelder Stra\u00dfe 229 in Oldenburg in 1968<\/b>.<\/p>\n On 1 January 1999<\/b>, the Textilreinigung ECKHARDT and Wernecke merged under the management of Mr. Michael Wernecke. The foundation of the Textilreinigung ECKHARDT GmbH followed on 1 July 2005<\/b>.<\/p>\n Since then, Mr. Michael Wernecke has been the sole managing director.<\/p>\n For more than 15 years, the company has focused on cleaning the workwear of firefighters and rescue service personnel. ECKHARDT’s washing processes and excellent cleaning results are known throughout Germany.<\/p>\n In March 2023<\/b>, the Textilreinigung ECKHARDT was acquired by 7YRDS Group GmbH.<\/p>\n In addition to managing the Textilreinigung ECKHARDT GmbH, Mr. Michael Wernecke also takes over the management of 7YRDS Deconservice GmbH. The complementary performance focuses of both companies thus offer both sophisticated conventional cleaning processes and innovative decontamination solutions with LCO2<\/sub> technology.<\/p>\n\t\t LCO2<\/sub> technology as a washing technique was first researched and used by NASA. It was originally used to decontaminate astronaut equipment after missions in space using liquid carbon dioxide (LCO2<\/sub>).<\/p>\n\t When it comes to selecting effective cleaning processes to meet regulatory requirements for firefighters’ PPE, LCO2<\/sub>-technology represents the applicable state of the art. The technology was originally developed by NASA<\/strong> to decontaminate protective suits and equipment after use in space. The cleaning process used by 7YRDS Deconservice and the Textilreinigung ECKARDT also uses carbon dioxide in its liquid phase as a solvent. For this purpose, it is compressed and liquefied under a pressure of up to 50 bar.<\/p>\n\t\t Compressed carbon dioxide has a high dissolving power. LCO2<\/sub> is non-polar, with low density and low viscosity. It penetrates through the membrane of the protective equipment without damaging the material<\/strong>. This makes the process far more effective than all previous water-based cleaning methods, which cannot penetrate the membrane.<\/p>\n\t\t The LCO2 <\/sub>technology we use thus frees the PPE from all chemical, physical and biological hazardous substances. This means that all legally regulated pollutant limits of the GefStoffV, the REACH regulation and other legal requirements are fully complied with.<\/p>\n\t\t With liquid CO2<\/sub> (LCO2<\/sub>), clothing contaminated by pollutants is cleaned much more effectively than with all other water-based cleaning processes. This ultimately guarantees the LCO2<\/sub>washing process ensures compliance with the statutory pollutant limits. Our all-round service takes all the work off your hands.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t At the end of the cleaning process with LCO2<\/sub> only the pollutants removed from the PPE are disposed of properly. The liquid CO2<\/sub> is fed back into the purification cycle. The use of 7YRDS’ self-produced green electricity at our sites makes our process the most environmentally friendly cleaning process in Europe.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t The temperature during the LCO2<\/sub> purification process is constantly about 15 degrees Celsius. Our material-friendly processes<\/strong> ensure the lowest possible mechanical stress on the PPE to be cleaned.
